Company Girl Coffee and Shakin' It Up part 3
Thanks for coming over. I promised the other day that I would tell you today about my clean salt and pepper shakers so I am linking this post to Kellis Show and Tell go over and visit her today after you've had your coffee.
From right to left...The big set at the back was the hardest to clean the other day all those little crevices are all clean and shiny now. These are really old they were a wedding present. I have always loved them they are big and always sit by my stove or in the cabinet next to the stove. Of course there is the tupperware ones that are just so great. They were a wedding gift too. The cute little bears were a Christmas gift from my son in love the year before their wedding. The little daisy one is old too from our wedding dishes which are all broken and gone now as with the salt shaker. The yellow ones are Fiesta and one has a crack but I love it anyway. I couldn't afford one without the crack. I know they are originally because I bought them before they started making them again. So that is where a few come from.
Before I go I wanted to share with you about the piece of furniture they are sitting on. I was doing the same thing this week that Rachel Ann was. I moved some furniture out of my sewing room for a garage sale a couple of weeks ago. And that led to moving other things. This piece that you can't see is a chifarobe (sp) that was my sisters then mine when we were children. We used it for our babies and then our daughter (our youngest) always had it in her room. It is white not it was originally pine I love it. It is now in the end of my living room which is our dining room. Come back next week and I will reveal all my furniture moving.
Thanks for stopping in for coffee. I have to go to the local food bank know to volunteer so have a great day.

I love your collection! Each pair has a story...how special. My mother in law has a bunch of salt and pepper shakers and holidays are always fun at her house.
I was surprised at how goopy mine got since the last time we cleaned them, maybe about a year ago. The worst one was one that is fake crystal, with lots of crevices...spaghetti sauce stuck in there, eew.
Sherry, I'm so glad you are "back" and I've enjoyed my visit! It is so fun to see the Small Things as someone else's house!
Love your collection. I have one, boring set of shakers. They are for casual, formal, you name it! Can't wait to see your furniture reveal. I NEVER move mine...once there, always there!
Like "One More" we only have 1 boring set of shakers.
Can't wait to see pics next week. We only move furniture to clean...hehehe, but will have to rearrange before the baby's arrival.
Wow, you have a lot of salt and pepper shakers. I think we only own one set. I have a pepper grinder, but that is about it. Thanks for sharing the stories behind them :)
Your shaker collection is lovely, especially since each has a story behind it!
A dear friend bought a set of the individual salt and pepper shakers (the teeny tiny ones) at Sam's, and uses them for dinners. I get such a kick out of having my own little set at my place setting!
That's quite the collection you've got, wow! I don't even have one set; just one large shaker that has a pepper grinder in the bottom & salt shaker at the top. I do like vintage shakers, but the last thing I need is another collection!
First time visitor to your blog, you have a great collection of S&P shakers!
Mine's a past choice so here's my link for my first show & tell

Great job cleaning all those shakers! You have a beautiful collection. I have several mis-matched pieces - I love them all, but really do need to invest in a matching set. :)
I think I need to come over and borrow a set of salt and pepper shakers. I had to fix my only set this week. I guess we don't use them that much.
Enjoy your spring rearrange. It does feel so much better!
Great collection. Wonderful that you have a story behind each of them. THanks for sharing your precious treasures.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Debbie
What a grat blog you have here! I love your salt shakers. I was telling a friend that I only have one set of salt and pepper shakers and it seems like they are ALWAYS empty!
Can't wait to see photos of your new look next week! Have a great week and thanks for the coffee! :)

I just cleaned my one and onkly regular pair this week too! I do have 6 prs of little tiny individual ones that I use for family meals....saves everyone always asking for the salt to be passed down a very long table!
That is soo neat. I never thought I would ever collect anything but after a couple of years over hear and I've gotten into tea cups and I like to get my husband chess sets. The tupperward set brought back memories but having to clean them is why I don't have any, any more!!!!
