White Wednesday #1 2011

Welcome to my first White Wednesday post of 2011! This year I made the commitment to myself and you to make it a priority to post everyday. My poor house over here seemed to get so dusty and neglected in 2010.

Today I am dusting off a photo that I have posted before. But it has been a loooooooong time and so I figured it would look new to you. This is a favorite of mine and it is all chippy and white!

I love this little vignette I put together. The black lines you see are places where the white paint chipped away. My attempt at making a pine chiferobe (sp?) chippy white. Since then I have found some great tutorials and when I get this piece back out of storage I am going to try and redo it. The urn isn't old but I think it fits the chippy category.

And a few other white things. Not really chippy. I hope you don't mind. Just some of my favorites.

Of course always a horse. I have collected snow photo's for my other blog. And there always has to be a horse. This is a photo I found on the web.

Another google found photo. I think it was from Birds and Bloom magazine.

One I chose because it is so pretty to look at! You guys know I am from Texas! This is an image I only enjoy looking at from a far. Or maybe possibly from a chair that happens to be sitting by a blazing fire. And, I would holding a steaming mug of something!

And lastly a little snow covered mailbox to remind you to let me know you stopped in!

Come by tomorrow because I promise there will be a Tablescape here!

BTW you can find more chippy white posts over here. And if you go over to my other blog you can see how I used the snow photos. Click here.

Happy Homemaker Monday

Welcome to Happy Homemaker Monday. . . it looks like blogger isn't going to let me load photo's but here's my post anyway. You can join Sandra over at Family Corner!
The weather in my neck of the woods: Drizzle rain off and on. But much warmer! Yea! The sun is out!

Things that make me happy:
The opposite of Sandra’s when my fridge is empty because it is so clean. And free of leftovers that we never eat! But I really do love it when the pantry is full and the fridge and freezer are full. It is so much easier to make meals.

Book I'm reading:Passport Through Darkness by Kimberly Smith (for review)

What's on my TV today Video:
And old favorite with some amazing photo’s.

On the menu for dinner:
Something simple still thinking on it. I have meat in the freezer but not much of anything else!

On my To Do List:
Finishing Laundry. Giving both bathrooms a good scrubbing. Vacuuming. (that’s what I said last week! LOL. Broken record I am!

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
My sweet friend Melanie answered my call for comfort food recipes. Here’s the link to her Chicken and Dumplings.

In the craft basket:
Maybe I should change this one too! I am so borrowing. Or maybe I should list the craft things I want to do? No there’s an idea!

Looking forward to this week:
My drama team performs tonight then Thursday is practise and we are having pizza.

Tips and Tricks:
I don’t always do this but it helps me to have a template of HHM in a word document. Then during the week I can fill in some of it. Like favorite blog posts or new blog. It helps me then I don’t forget where I found stuff.

My favorite blog post this week:
Is over at Sweet Cottage Dreams.
Loved this one because I loved the photo. I want to post it over at My Journey Back waiting for the photographer to give me an o.k. Go over and check it out.

Blog Hopping (a new discovered blog you would like to share with the readers):
Sweet Bee Cottage . . .
“Things are always buzzin' around the cottage. Worker Bee, Baby Bee, and I welcome your visit. I'd be happy to make you a latte if you can stay awhile.....”

No words needed (favorite photo or picture, yours or others you want to share):

Lesson learned the past few days:
That I am way too busy. I need to be more organized. I have too many random things to do. I need things scheduled. I am a scheduler at heart.

On my mind:
The above.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart. Direct me in the path of your commands for there I find delight. Psalm 119:34

Mosaic Monday

Welcome to Mosaic Monday. One of my favorite things to do is to look at houses. The outsides and the insides. I love decorating as most of you guys do. But I also love architecture. I love interesting buildings and structures. For Blue Monday I decided to take a virtual Blue tour and here's what I came up with. I pulled them all together in a mosaic for you.
Maybe if your snowed in these lovely sunny photo's will warm you day and make you
smile.

My Mission Monday post is over here come by for a visit. And go and visit the other Mosaic Monday posts.

Blue Monday

Welcome to my first Blue Monday of 2011. I am sorry I have been a way I haven't been able to find anything blue to post so I took matters into my own hands and made something Blue for you!

Aren't you impressed! I was. I really didn't make I just wanted to get you interested.

I have actually no real reason other than life happens and I have just been busy. I did get a chance to do some virtual touring and found some really pretty blue things.

Well actually I think there are those that would correct me and say these are 'ladies.'

I have to agree. What a lovely.

Another amazing paint job! Found when I searched Blue Row Houses.

And this more of a New Mexican look. I love the lighter blue steps.
And lastly something very modern.
I have no idea where these are. Actually I wouldn't be surprised to find them in Dallas or Fort Worth. There is a crazy amount of apartment dwellings being constructed. Maybe I need to take a real drive and go on a photo safari. Wanna come along?

Well we will have to wait till spring though it is way to cold here. And we have predictions of snow. So why not go on over to Sally's for more Blue posts.
